Croatia marina prices

How much does a sailing boat berth cost in Croatia?

For a private 12 m × 3.8 m sailing yacht, checked daily berth prices range from €73 to €204 in our July 2026 comparison. Marina prices in Croatia depend on your boat's overall length and beam, the location, the season and how long you stay. Compare the same boat across marinas to find an option that fits your route and budget.

Is Croatia becoming too expensive for sailing? Our historical marina berth-price overview compares the same marinas over five years and checks whether their daily fees have risen faster than Croatian inflation.

Use the marina price calculator to compare daily, monthly, six-month and annual berthing fees in Istria, Kvarner, Zadar, Šibenik, Split and Dubrovnik. Enter length and beam or find dimensions by boat model. Choose your arrival date for daily rates, and open each marina's official price list to check the terms.

Choose Client / boat owner for your own sailing boat. Choose Charter company if it operates commercially. Seasonal ranges, compulsory charges and restrictions are shown beside the prices. If you are planning a sailing holiday without bringing your own boat, see the sailing yachts available to rent from Split at the end of this guide.

Croatia's cheapest, most expensive and popular mid-price marinas

Which Croatian marinas suit your sailing budget? These three lists compare 46 marinas with verified, VAT-inclusive daily prices in our catalogue. For a consistent comparison, we use a private 12.00 m × 3.80 m monohull in July 2026. Use the calculator above for your own boat and travel dates.

Prices include verified compulsory fees. Where weekday prices vary, the higher figure determines the price ranking and the full range is shown. Water, electricity and other services vary by marina; open a marina name to check its original price list.

What about Palmižana near Hvar?

ACI Marina Palmižana costs €140 per day for this 12 m monohull in July-August 2026, placing it 9th most expensive in our verified comparison. It sits above the middle-price candidate group. Its 4.1 / 5 Google rating is shown for reference; it is outside that price group. A well-known destination can still have a lower review score.

The marina is on Sv. Klement in the Pakleni Islands, close to Hvar, and opens from 1 April to 31 October. ACI reports reduced capacity during reconstruction. Confirm space for your dates; neither fame nor Google ratings establish that a marina is always full.

The popular picks come from the middle half of the price ranking: €100–€136 per day on this comparison basis. We then selected the five with the highest public Google star ratings, using review count only to break ties between equal ratings. Stars reflect reviewers' experiences; they do not measure bookings or berth occupancy. Shared marina/accommodation Google listings are labelled when used.

We rank all 46 marinas with comparable daily prices in our 55-marina catalogue. Marinas without a verified daily tariff or confirmed VAT treatment are excluded. The middle 50% is rounded to whole marinas, leaving 24 candidates at price positions 12–35. Price ties are ordered by marina name. The five mid-price picks are ordered by Google star rating, then review count for equal ratings, checked directly on 11 October 2026; each rating links to its Google listing. These are rankings within our verified comparison, and berth availability must be confirmed with the marina.

How to find affordable marina berths in Croatia

A lower berth price is useful only if the marina suits your boat and your itinerary. Compare nearby marinas for the same dimensions and dates, then check the total cost and the facilities you will use. A different harbour or a change of dates may be worth considering when the price difference is substantial.

  • Match the boat size. Overall length can include platforms and bowsprits. A few centimetres above a category boundary, or a wider beam, can change the charge.
  • Compare the full stay. Daily, monthly and annual tariffs are separate products. Check seasonal restrictions, weekend surcharges and minimum contract periods.
  • Check the extras. Check waste fees, electricity, water, parking and any services you need. A lower base tariff can come with separate charges.
  • Check the marina itself. Ask about shelter, depth, berth access, showers, provisions, transport and technical services. Use recent sailor reviews alongside the published tariff.

Choose a region in the calculator to narrow your comparison: Istria for Pula, Rovinj and Umag; Kvarner for Opatija, Cres, Rab, Punat and Lošinj; Zadar and its nearby islands; the Šibenik area; Split, Trogir and the central Dalmatian islands; or Dubrovnik and southern Dalmatia. Confirm vessel acceptance and berth availability directly with the marina.

Historical Price Overview: is Croatia becoming too expensive?

Official price lists still available online or in web archives let us compare the same 24 of Croatia's 66 official sea marinas from 2021 to 2026, for a private 12 m sailing yacht with a 3.8 m beam in July.

For daily marina berths, our matched sample has become more expensive over five years, including after inflation. That supports a narrower conclusion than saying every sailing holiday in Croatia is too expensive: the final budget still depends on the boat, route, season and how many nights you spend in marinas.

Have marina berth prices risen faster than inflation?

Yes, in this matched sample. Between July 2021 and July 2026, average daily berth prices rose by 43.5%, while Croatia's general consumer prices rose by 36.2%, according to Eurostat's all-items HICP. Berth prices rose 7.3 percentage points more than inflation. After adjusting for inflation, the increase was 5.4%.

Five-year change, July 2021 to July 2026; the same boat and marina cohort.
ComparisonChange
Average daily marina berth in our matched sample+43.5%
Croatian consumer inflation (all-items HICP)+36.2%
Berth-price change after inflation+5.4%

Inflation accounts for much of the headline increase, but not all of it. HICP measures a broad basket of consumer purchases; it does not measure marina operating costs or explain why an operator changed its tariff. This 24-marina sample includes 22 ACI marinas, so the result should not be read as a price index for all Croatian marinas.

What does this mean for a sailing holiday in Croatia?

Seven marina nights at these sample averages would cost about €604 in 2021 and €866 in 2026: around €263 more per boat. This is a budgeting example, not a quoted itinerary.

Value still varies between marinas. Use the calculator for your boat and travel period, then compare the full holiday cost: yacht rental, overnight berths, fuel, provisioning and compulsory extras. The lower-priced marina examples and yachts available from Split provide a starting point. A berth-price rise alone does not establish whether charter yachts, restaurants or every Croatian destination have become equally expensive.

We use a fixed group of 24 marinas with checked daily prices in both 2021 and 2026. An intermediate year is plotted only when all of those same marinas have a verified tariff. Each marina has equal weight. The percentage is the change between the first and last unrounded averages, not an average of individual percentage changes.

The series uses lower published weekday tariffs for a private 12 m monohull with a 3.8 m beam, in July, including VAT and checked compulsory fees. Vertical bands show the average upper weekday tariff. Kuna amounts are converted at EUR 1 = HRK 7.53450. The same berth category is compared throughout where an operator separates pier groups, such as piers B-F at Marina Lošinj. Optional utility consumption is not estimated. The berth graph shows nominal euro prices. The separate inflation comparison divides the berth-price change factor by the change factor in Croatia's all-items HICP for July in the same two endpoint years.

22 of the 24 marinas belong to ACI. The sample is weighted toward that operator and covers the available history, rather than a representative national price index. Newly opened marinas and marinas without matching historical tariffs are excluded. Lines connect available observations; no missing annual prices or future values are calculated.

Inflation source: Eurostat's Croatian all-items HICP series, index 2025 = 100. The July 2021 index is 77.13 and the July 2026 index is 105.04. Cumulative inflation is (end index / start index - 1); the real berth-price change is (end berth average / start berth average) / (end HICP / start HICP) - 1. We do not add annual inflation rates or confuse a percentage-point gap with a real increase. Download the inflation observations and source details (JSON). Checked 2026-10-12.

Frequently asked questions about marina prices in Croatia

In our matched sample of 24 marinas, daily prices for a private 12 m monohull rose 43.5% from July 2021 to July 2026, compared with 36.2% Croatian consumer inflation. The increase after inflation was 5.4%. This available-data sample includes 22 ACI marinas; it does not represent every marina or the whole cost of a sailing holiday. See the historical price and inflation comparison for sources and method.

Marinas publish categories based on overall length, and some also use beam. Select your boat model or enter its measured dimensions, choose the stay duration and compare the applicable published tariffs. The marina may measure the boat before confirming the final charge.

Many marinas publish seasonal tariffs, and some charge more on particular days of the week. Select Daily and move the date slider to compare prices for your arrival date. For monthly, six-month and annual berths, check the contract period and any restrictions in the official price list.

Availability and tariff periods vary. For example, Marina Kaštela publishes monthly wet-berth rates for October–May and a winter six-month tariff for 1 October–31 March. A six-month land-storage price is a different service from a berth in the water. The calculator shows these restrictions instead of deriving shorter stays from an annual fee.

Many published marina tariffs include a multihull surcharge or a beam rule. Choose Catamaran after entering your dimensions. Where the price list does not establish how these rules apply together, the result explains why a marina quotation is needed.

No. Published tariffs help you budget, but they do not show vacant marina berths. Contact the marina with your boat dimensions, arrival dates and stay duration to confirm space and the final terms. The charter weeks below are checked separately through ABA VELA's yacht availability service.

This list contains 66 distinct official sea marinas. Each capacity is taken from the official September 2026 register. 53 marinas have a located public wet-berth tariff, and 13 have no tariff verified in this audit.

The calculator lists 55 marinas: 48 have checked price calculations, 6 require an individual marina quote because the current tariff or VAT-inclusive total needs confirmation, and 1 (Valalta) is marked unavailable for sailboats. The 53 located lists include 48 integrated tariffs, 4 tariffs awaiting confirmation (current validity for Tučepi and Amadria; VAT-inclusive totals for Drage and Medulin), and Valalta's tariff, which cannot be used for sailing boats. Listed marinas and integrated prices are different counts.

“Integrated” means at least one checked pricing product; it does not mean every boat and berth duration can be priced.
